Classes meet at 9:30 a.m. for lessons that encourage students to apply the Scripture to their lives. Sunday School class is also a venue to reinforce teaching received in youth group, conferences, and worship. The lessons are often interactive with the students taking part in teaching.
242 Student Groups
242 groups take their name from the Book of Acts, Chapter 2, verse 42:
"And they were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching,
and to fellowship to the breaking of bread and to prayer."
This verse models to us what the church is really to be about, and we strive to model and teach this to our students as they work out their faith in our world.
242 groups for Kindergarten through college age students meet twice each month, 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., during the school year. Study, prayer, games, snacks, accountability, fellowship and discipleship are all part of 242 group. Students are encouraged to bring their friends!
Our students are also involved in service projects, fundraisers for mission projects, intense worship, service in the church body, and caring for one another.
